How much should it cost to get mileage calculations and mapping? Well, considering that all the data used to create calculations and map tiles (think, Google Maps) are provided in the U.S. Geological Survey National Highway Database, which distributes it all at no charge (except for our taxes), the answer is simple, it should be free.
